Our Preschool
Our Preschool offers a separate Lower and Upper section, catering for children from about 30 months to 5 years. We focus at this stage on preparing our children for structure in their day and developing the independence essential for a smooth transition to big school.
All activities are planned carefully, encouraging each child to extend their learning across all areas. Our team are highly qualified and motivated, providing an excellent start in life and ensuring children become enthusiastic and independent learners.
Nutritious and Healthy Food
Our delicious, home-cooked food, which is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-star rated, provides healthy, tasty, and freshly-cooked meals every day that the children invariably want to devour!
Our Nursery Cooks introduce children to all kinds of food, from fish pie to mild curry, carefully accommodating food intolerances and preferences along the way. We also support local producers by buying most of our fresh produce locally and growing some of our own vegetables and herbs.
Learning and Development
Our warm, caring, and highly qualified team knows our children well, with every child assigned a Key Person who observes their play to plan stimulating activities based on individual interests.
Our purpose-built setting, featuring a large garden with mature trees, is designed for exploration, offering “a wonderland of interesting and challenging activities” where children play and learn safely every day.
Funding
30 hours funded childcare
Most working parents may be eligible for up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week for children aged from 9 months through to 4 years old. Eligibility depends on employment status, income levels, your child’s age and where you live.
Funding is normally provided across the 38 week school year. At Culham Nursery we offer the option to stretch funding across 52 weeks of the year, allowing families to spread their funded hours more evenly.

15 hours funded childcare
All parents are entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare for children aged 3 and 4 years old from the term after their third birthday.
Many working parents may also qualify for Tax-Free Childcare, which can help families save up to £2,000 per year.
